South Cave Ladies 2 - 5 Pocklington Town Ladies
The ladies travelled to South Cave on Sunday for their first league fixture of the season after postponements due to their FA Cup run. The ladies got off to an early lead with a great finish from Sophie Bradley in the 9th minute. The first half stayed at 1-0 as both teams dug in until South Cave pulled back an equaliser just before the half time break. Half time saw a keeper change at half time with a debut in net for Beth Wilby. Town came out strong and were rewarded with 3 further goals, another from Sophie Bradley, one from Elisha Griffiths and Sophie Bradley forcing a defensive error resulting in an OG for South Cave. South Cave then pulled another back from a penalty kick. The final changes of the match for town saw a league debut for Brooke Brandon who marked the occasion with the 5th goal for the team.
Player of The Game went to Georgia Marsden for yet another incredible show of strength and control in both defensive and midfield. The ladies travel away from home on Sunday to Chesterfield in their FA Cup 2nd round qualifier after last weeks convincing 4-1 win against Poppleton Ladies FC. The Tier 5 club will be a test for the ladies at a level they have yet to experience but they are more than up for the challenge
HPL - Pocklington Town 0 - South Cave 2

It was a disappointing day for the Humber Premier league Churchill Tyres sponsored Pocklington Town 1st team last weekend when despite a solid team performance, they failed to take the chances that they created and conceded a goal in each half to lose 2-0 at home to South Cave United. The Chrysalis Mens Mental health sponsored MOM went to defender Scrowston for his all-round performance, with the award being presented to him by club Committee member Danny Lydiate. The lads don't have a game this Saturday and are next in action on the 8th of October when they take on Hull United at home, 2pm ko
Pocklington Town (2nds) 0 - Old Malton St. Marys 2

Despite a Chrysalis Mens Mental Health sponsored MOM performance from left back Archie Lyons last weekend, the York Minster Football league Division 1 2nd team, sponsored by Churchill Tyres, went down 2-0 at home to Premier division side Old Malton St. Marys in the York FA Senior cup. This game was always going to be a tough test with Maltons class showing through. To put some perspective on the result, the same tie last year saw Pock lose 8-0 and a much-improved performance resulted in a closer loss. The team remains in cup action this weekend when they travel to take on North Cave AFC in the East Riding Senior Country cup.

Pocklington Town (3rds) 3 - 4 Hensall Hawks
Pocklington Towns Yara sponsored York league Reserve A 3rd team were in York FA Junior cup action last Saturday against Division 4 side Hensall Hawks and Town made a poor start to the game to find themselves 2-0 down at the break. Things went from bad to worse as Hensall doubled their lead before the hour mark although this served to spur Pock on to a mini comeback as goals from Harvey Turner, Andy Macari and James Saltmer created what was almost an excellent comeback. Ultimately the visitors held on to progress to the next round. The 3rds MOM award went to Dave Abblett with Jon Parsons doing the presentation. The team are in East Riding cup action this weekend away against Elloughton Blackburns U23s.
